Abstract

The phenomenon of qualification, competence and teacher performance is still low so that the need for information quickly and accurately for teachers to improve the performance of teachers to explore, interact and maximize the functions of information technology in education as an important solution for information, knowledge and insight teachers in anticipation of the competition and the challenge of rapid educational world. This study aims to analyze and describe the use of the Internet at high school teachers in remote areas throughout Semarang residency in order to improve the performance of teachers in order to increase the numbers of teachers in teaching the feasibility of learners in the scope of high school.
The sampling technique using judgment sampling area that is based on a zoning study that 12 high schools in Semarang residency which is a remote area that is difficult to reach by technology and the Internet with the total respondents were 120 respondents. Respondents consisted of high school teachers in the remote areas residency of Semarang. Analysis of the study data using quantitative analysis method using AMOS software-based Structural Equation Modeling in reviewing and analyzing the study data.
From the results of research and discussion in the previous chapter, it can take several conclusions, among others: there is the influence of perceived usefulness of the use of the Internet, there is the influence of perceived usefulness on teacher performance, no influence ease of use to the use of the Internet, there is the effect of ease of use on teacher performance , there is the influence of self-efficacy of the use of the internet, there is the influence of self-efficacy on teacher performance, there is the effect of internet use on teacher performance and interest in the use of technology related to the way the institution to plan and organize internet.
